EGYPT’S DAILY LIFE – A FAMILY PICNIC

IMG_8169-2It is the only tree around but it is all this Egyptian family needs to enjoy a day out. And for extra relief from the heat a trench dug around the trunk of the tree does the trick — plus for anyone wanting to take off his shirt or pants – the branches of the tree serve as coat hangers.

Great photo! Have you ever been to Al-Azhar Park in Cairo? That’s also a great place to go (and you see all sorts enjoying themselves there too), although it’s obviously very different from what you have shown in this photo

  4. Thank you for that useful information
Unfortunately for an Egyptian family this does not apply
Can you imagine 40 percent of the population live under the poverty line
With a few dollars a day to feed their big families – let’s count our blessings
